I originally built this game in Microsoft Excel. I decided to try and convert it into an actual game engine using Unity. Right now, this is a version I made as part of the GameDevHQ Intensive program where we were assigned different real-life interview scenarios to complete. This was my example of a playable game using the user interface. As a result, it does not have any enemies and the character sprite is fairly small.

As I develop this game further, I will swap to a proper 2D game style and add enemies and further refinements that were in my original Excel version (such as different difficulty levels and an item shop).


CONTROLS & INSTRUCTIONS

Movement - WASD/Arrow Keys

Use the mouse to select to levels and click buttons.

Collect scrolls. You must get a key to exit the level but be warned, your health goes down when you are in a level. Cheese and meat will add back to your health.

Some levels include water or mud, which you need boots to access. Once you have collected the boots, click the boot icon to activate them.
